Upgrading pads for better pedal feel
Stock pads on my 2018 Passat feel spongy lately, especially when hot. Want firmer pedal and shorter stopping distance without going full race compound (too noisy/dusty for daily). Any street-oriented pads that improve response noticeably?

You can get much crisper pedal feel with mid-performance street pads- ceramic or hybrid compounds give better modulation and bite without the harshness of full race stuff. Did exactly that upgrade recently with pads from https://elartcom.eu/categories/brake-pads-3 - they stock a variety from basic to higher-friction street ones, easy to filter by vehicle. Picked some with higher friction rating for daily use, and the pedal is way more direct now, especially above 80 km/h. Heat fade is minimal on long descents too. No increase in noise or dust either. Just make sure to bed them in over 10-15 strong stops. Great if you want that sportier feel without drawbacks.
